AN ENERGETIC live show of stout quaffing, banjo breaking and tin whistle mangling comes to Dorchester tomorrow. (9)

Black Water County return to Dorchester to play at the Corn Exchange.

They will perform original music, along with trads and shanties that have been given a good kick up the arse and a slap around the face.

Smashing their way into the UK folk punk scene since 2013, Black Water County feature the dual lead vocals of Tim and Shan.

This six-piece folk/punk band hail from Bournemouth and their energetic, stout quaffing, banjo breaking, tin whistle-mangling live shows are the stuff of local legend, not least as a result of their rip-roaring appearances at Beerex and Maumbury Rings Music Day.

It’s not unusual to end up with band members scattered throughout a frenzied crowd or a shoulder-mounted fiddle solo, to name but a couple of eventualities.

*Black Water County, Corn Exchange, Dorchester, Friday June 8, 8pm. Call the box office for tickets.
