There's a lot to enjoy this weekend, including some top tribute acts and a garden stroll as spring reluctantly arrives.

*DIRECT from London's world-famous jazz club, The Ronnie Scott's All Stars return to Dorchester Corn Exchange tonight (16) from 8pm.

Their new show features songs made famous by the many vocalists and artists that have appeared at the club – from Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald through to Sonny Rollins and many others.

*AUTHOR Harriet Evans will be talking about her life and works at Weymouth Library tomorrow (17) from 10.30am.

Harriet is the bestselling author of 11 novels, writing about family and friendship in a warm and witty style. Her books will be on sale and you can get yours signed. It costs £3 a ticket.

*HUMAN chameleon Simon Day will be performing as a host of colourful characters at Bridport Electric Palace tomorrow night from 8pm.

*HELP raise money for Portland Foodbank by attending a concert by Island Voices and Dorset Wrecks at Underhill Methodist Church in Fortuneswell tomorrow (17) from 7pm.

*BEST-SELLING children's author Michael Morpurgo's treasured story I Believe in Unicorns will be brought to life in two performances in Dorchester on Sunday at 2pm and 4.30pm.

This intimate show is set in a library full of books that hold more than stories within their pages. It is a tale of the power of books, and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas. Tomas hates reading and school, but his world is turned upside down the day he meets the Unicorn Lady in his local library…

*A DORCHESTER garden will be open on Sunday between 2pm and 5pm as part of the National Garden Scheme.
