*ANIMAL lovers should head over to Kingston Maurward College in Dorchester this weekend for Spring Lambing Weekend - this event has now been cancelled.

*THIS weekend sees the annual Crabchurch celebrations in Weymouth.

The events mark the anniversary of the Battle of Weymouth and the preceding Siege of Melcombe where more than 500 people died in total, many in just one night of savage conflict.

People can enjoy talks, drama, music and stunningly authentic re-enactments.

Join history talks tonight at Hope United Reformed Church in Weymouth, see historic dramatisations at the Tudor House in Weymouth and see the Dolmen perform tomorrow evening at the Weymouth Centenary Club.

*WATCH musicians of all ages and abilities perform at Weymouth Music Festival tomorrow (3) at Budmouth College between 9am and 5pm. Doors open at 8.40am.

The musicians will be performing in front of the audience at this friendly festival and receiving encouraging feedback from adjudicators. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £7 for families.

*X FACTOR runners-up G4 will play Weymouth Pavilion on Sunday from 7.30pm.

Having exploded into the industry and the public's hearts back in 2004 on the first series of the X-Factor, G4 continue to blow people away, year after year, with their unique style and impactful harmonic vocals, which are incomparable to any other. They have to be heard live to truly appreciate the power and passion of their voices.

*Comedian George Egg (a.k.a. the 'Anarchist Cook') brings his brand new show to Dorchester tonight (2) demonstrating more live cooking and laugh-out-loud comedy.

This show sees George relocate to the garden shed where his imagination and resourcefulness lead him to build an improvised kitchen. It's funny, inspiring and absurd in equal measure. Expect power tools, gardening equipment and office supplies to be re-purposed and abused. Expect lots of laughs. Expect to learn something new. And you get to taste the food at the end. *SOULFUL singer Elles Bailey will perform in the county town tomorrow (3) evening from.

Elles has a talent for crafting and seamlessly weaving rootsy blues, country, and soulful rock, with a contemporary edge. What's more fate has blessed her with a 'smoky vocal' style that perfectly fits her music.

*POPULAR band Watkins and Swarbrick return to Portesham Village Hall tomorrow (3) evening at 7.30pm after playing to a full house in 2016.

Simon Swarbrick will be back from his performance with the official Dave Swarbrick Tribute tour and will be once again accompanying Ken and Lucy Watkins and Angela Heron Watkins in an evening of great acoustic music.

*IMMERSE yourself in glorious living landscapes and the brilliant night sky when Dreaming the Night Field by Adverse Camber is performed at Winterborne Stickland near Blandford tonight (2) and Wootton Fitzpaine near Lyme Regis tomorrow (3).
