*A CLASSIC multi-act extravaganza is coming to Portland this weekend.

Heyday Revue by the Vintage Theatre Company will be at the Royal Manor Theatre in Fortuneswell today and tomorrow.

This revue, set in the 1920s, features song, dance, comedy and new sketches.

The audience can enjoy a classic murder mystery, silent movie sketch, new dance troupe, comedians and singers.

The dress code is black tie/vintage gown. The show is suitable for those aged 15 and above. Performances are at 7pm tonight (23) and 2pm and 7pm tomorrow. (24)

*POPULAR rock music can be heard at Weymouth Pavilion tonight (23) at 7.30pm as money is raised for the Help for Heroes charity.

Rock for Heroes features music in tribute to artists such as Dire Straits, Status Quo, Queen, David Bowie, Madonna, Spandau Ballet, Bryan Adams, Elton John, Simple Minds and so many more.

*WEYMOUTH Drama Club's Bridge the Gap group is performing a play on a missing girl and the power of friendship at the Warehouse Theatre in Weymouth tonight and tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Eclipse follows six friends who are interviewed by police after the disappearance of Lucy Lime, a strange unnerving girl.

*HEAD over to Lyme Regis tonight (23) to see Irish singer Cara Dillon perform at the Marine Theatre from 8pm.

This is an unusual chance to see Cara in a small venue and she will also perform alongside her husband Sam Lakeman.

*ENJOY an evening of sea shanties with the Wareham Whalers at Osmington Village Hall tonight. (24)

There's the chance to enjoy some fish and chips along with the performance.

Entrance is £5 entrance and it costs £5 for fish and chips. There will be a licensed bar.

*SAMPLE a feast of Dorset fare at Portesham Village Hall tomorrow night.

A Barnes Supper will be held to celebrate the birthday of William Barnes in the company of the Ridgeway Singers & Band.

*HEAD to Maiden Newton tomorrow for the village's fifth annual Potato Day and pop up gardener's market.

There will also be refreshments and local arts and craft stalls at the village hall.

All the action takes place between 10.30am and 2pm.
