THE Watkins and Swarbrick band will be performing their final concert of the year at Sutton Poyntz on December 9.

Back by popular demand, the group will once again ask the audience to pay what they think the performance is worth.

Known for the different routes they take in their music, Ken, Simon, Lucy & Angela will perform

songs and tunes inspired by folk and country music, as well as blues and jazz standards; they

are a long way from being just a ‘folk’ band!

Expect sensitive and extraordinary playing of

guitars, violin, ukelele and mandolin, plus some lovely mellow vocals and rich three part harmonies that have been described as a ‘wonderful blend’.

Throw in some lively banter and a smattering of

Christmas songs and tunes and you can be sure of a lovely evening to start your Christmas festivities.

In true Watkins and Swarbrick fashion, there is no set ticket price; instead, the audience are asked to pay what they think the performance was worth at the end of the show.

It is essential to reserve seats by ringing the box office on 01305 837299. Bring your own drinks/glasses or pop across to the pub in the break. CDs will be on sale.

In the past people have said about the concerts: “The harmonies were great and Simon’s playing was

mesmerising.”

“Some wonderful music with a beautifully crafted fusion of instrumental and vocal skills."
