*SPARKLE in the Park is back on Sunday between 3.30pm and 4.45pm.

Join the Friends of Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth for this free event where youngsters can get crafty making jam jars, lanterns and decorations and then enjoy a candlelit stroll through the Woodland Walk at dusk.

All materials provided free. There will be live seasonal music. Ride on the miniature railway (Fares apply) Children must be accompanied. Donations for park upkeep welcomed.

*PICK up some tasty treats at the Dorset Food and Drink Christmas Fair at Athelhampton House near Dorchester.

It's held both tomorrow and Sunday from 10am to 4pm both days. On sale from more than 50 Dorset producers will be distinctively Dorset and seasonal goods.

Santa will be making a special appearance on Sunday. Entry is £2.50 per adult which includes entry to Athelhampton House and Gardens. It costs £5 to meet Santa with money going to the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust. A park and ride bus will run on the hour from County Hall in Dorchester.
