A CELEBRATION of literature concludes this weekend.

Bridport Literary Festival's 13th year has been a success with many events sold out but some tickets still available as the festival is set to end on Sunday.

People can still look forward to a talk from mountaineer Sir Chris Bonington tomorrow at 4.30pm at the Electric Palace.

Chris will be talking about his memoir Ascent, charting his journey from a childhood with a love of the outdoors to his term in the Army and his subsequent life of adventure.

Tomorrow at 2.30pm at Bridport Town Hall, catch Tamsin Treverton-Jones talking about the Great Storm of 1987 and her book Wind Blown.

On Saturday at 4.30pm at the Electric Palace, political commentator Steve Richards will talk about his book The Rise of the Outsiders, which explores factors from globalisation and a changing media to rising immigration and stagnant wages.

On Sunday, the festival's final day, enjoy talks from Dorchester author Boris Starling and biographer Keggie Carew.

Boris will be talking about Unconquerable, his book on the Invictus Games and Keggie will talk about Dadland, her book charting her unconventional father's life.
