THE Royal Opera’s production of Mozart’s classic masterpiece, The Magic Flute, opens the new ROH Live 2017 /18 Cinema Season of live satellite broadcasts direct from London to the big screen on Wednesday, September 20 at 7.15pm.

The Magic Flute is undoubtedly Mozart’s most popular work, with its famous Queen of the Night aria delivering a magical adventure through mysticism, enchantment, love and trickery. There are some wonderfully humorous moments in this extraordinary blend of comedy, philosophical seriousness and sheer magic.

Set designer, John Macfarlane, brings Mozart’s magical opera to life in his designs, from the panoramic night sky to the dancing animals summoned by Tamino’s flute and the incredible flying machine of the Three Boys.
