GET ready to go on a wild Highland adventure at the next Bridport Story Café.

Storyteller Michael Loader and musician Martin Solomon will offer an evening of stories and music on a wild Highland adventure with the folklore and legends of Robbie Burns.

Follow the poet’s immortalised footsteps across beck and bracken, river and ridge to escape the witch’s clutch, duel with the devil and reduce the curse and girth of an oversized goblin!

They will serve a veritable feast of spicy story, sizzling song, pickled poetry and marinated sound at Bridport Arts Centre on Friday July 14.

Michael is resident storyteller at St George’s in Bristol and director of the Somerset Storyfest, with a background in theatre. He works in education, health, charity, community and corporate settings. Martin is a multi-instrumentalist, director of the Scratchy Folk Orchestra and founder member of the might Pindrop Band.

Warning: this show may contain dodgy Scottish accents and a middle-aged man in a kilt!
