*FESTIVAL Chesil Rocks takes place tomorrow at Langton Herring near Weymouth and supports Samaritans of Dorset.

It will feature an eclectic range of music along with storytelling and poetry, comedy, theatre, children's activities and a healing area.

The festival is held at the home of the Warren family at Higher Farmhouse and takes place from 11am to 11.30pm.

Acts lined up include an ensemble from the internationally-renowned London Gay Men’s Chorus and fiddle-driven punk folk sensations The Leylines – who are also performing at Glastonbury the same weekend

*IF you're a fan of country music, enjoy the Queens of Country at Weymouth Pavilion tonight (23) from 7.30pm.

It features classic songs from country luminaries such as Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette through to new age stars such as Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes to name but a few.

*The Beaminster Festival Of Music and the Visual Arts starts tomorrow with a brilliant programme of music, both classical and jazz, literature and an art exhibition of the work of local artists, potters, sculptors and furniture makers.

Among the highlights are talks from author Joanna Trollope and historian David Starkey.

A Street Party will be held in Beaminster Square tomorrow from 5pm to 9pm.

*A THRILLING one woman flamenco show comes to Cerne Abbas Village Hall tomorrow evening at 7.30pm. Salud will perform her thrilling show packed with passion, drama and duende.

*SEE some colourful displays this weekend with a flower festival at St Mary's Church in Puddletown.

The displays will represent Bible Stories and Parables with the theme 'In the beginning was the Word'.

The church is open for viewing from 11am to 5.30pm tomorrow and 12.30pm to 5pm on Sunday. There will be a special Songs of Praise on Sunday from 6pm to 7pm.

*GARDENS in the beautiful village of Winfrith Newburgh will be open tomorrow and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.

There will also be floral displays in St Christopher's Church and tea and cake available in the Village Hall.
