GATHER round for tales of the Bard – and enjoy a picnic too.

A new open-air production of Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night will be coming to at The Hyde Residential Gardens, Walditch, near Bridport.

Following last year’s production of ‘As You Like It’, Folksy Theatre will be bringing their new show to west Dorset audiences on Thursday, July 27, from 7pm.

Two twin siblings, Viola and Sebastian, are separated in a shipwreck and Viola takes on the appearance of a man to be accepted to work in Duke Orsino’s household. It is here that the fun begins. It is a play about mistaken identities, about love and the madness it can drive us to. There will be music and plenty of laughs as well.

Folksy Theatre was founded in 2009 by now husband and wife team Lee and Tom Hardwicke. The company tour the UK with their productions both indoors and outdoors throughout the year, with a focus on reaching rural communities and making theatre accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

The gates open an hour before the start of the performance.

The running time is approximately two hours and 10 minutes long including an interval.

Tickets cost £13.50 for adults, £10 for concessions, £8 for children and £38 for families. Tickets can be bought on the gate but will be more expensive.
