MUSICIANS The Zoots are looking forward to playing at the town where they enjoyed many childhood holidays.

They are bringing their Sounds of the 60s show to the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, on Friday May 19.

Award-winning musicians The Zoots have sold more than half a million albums, wowed audiences of stage and screen in more than 30 countries, and played iconic venues like Old Trafford and The London Palladium.

Their music has appeared on TV ads, and made lead singer Jamie Goddard a gold-selling songwriter.

Jamie says he is nervous about playing The Zoots' hit show at the place he spent lots of holidays. He says he has toured the band round an incredible 30 countries before finally summoning the courage to organise a show at The Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.

As Jamie puts it: "The Zoots have played in front of audiences on four continents, from Israel to Italy, Havana to Venice, Barcelona to Montego Bay — but there's something especially nerve-wracking about playing to a British crowd!"

Harriet Lowther is The Zoots' backing singer and lead percussionist. She said: "It will be very special for us to play at The Marine Theatre, with lots of holiday memories!"

It's been a great 12 months for the band. They headlined at The Goodwood Festival, and were featured in the book Guardians of Rock and Roll by world-famous photographer Michael Randolph, who was the official photographer to The Rolling Stones.
