A CONTEMPORARY furniture and art exhibition has opened at the Town Mill in Lyme Regis.

The Courtyard Gallery welcomes Essence of Nature, an exhibition open daily until March 15 by Dorset’s renowned bespoke furniture designer, Jason Cameron and award-winning artists Lucy Tidbury and Esme James.

The trio who create and make from their workshops and studios in the Isle of Purbeck all work with different mediums and are inspired by their passion for nature and the great outdoors.

The Malthouse Gallery hosts Art in Action and is open daily until March 19, the gallery has been transformed into a working art studio that is open to the public for them to visit and the meet the artist.

Taking part are four popular local artists including Julie Oldfield, Philip Clayton, Irina Song and Duncan Harris who will also be exhibiting a selection of their work.

Both exhibitions are open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm with free admission and form part of a number of attractions at the Town Mill, Lyme Regis including open studios and shops that are centrally located in therestored mill buildings.

These include a working flour mill, Millers Garden, galleries, a café, kitchen shop & deli, a silversmith, seamstress, a pottery studio, a stonemason and a microbrewery.
