BRIT Award winner Beverley Craven is coming to Dorchester Arts as part of her 2017 tour.

She will be performing both her timeless classics and new material at Dorchester Corn Exchange on Saturday March 11.

The Corn Exchange is one of a handful of select venues to be hosting Beverly as she continues to promote her acclaimed latest album Change of Heart.

Beverley became a household name in the early 90s with her single, Promise Me, becoming a huge hit across Europe.

She followed that up with a string of chart successes including Memories, Holding On, Woman To Woman and Love Scenes.

Her new album is a more personal reflection on her life and career following a recent recovery from breast cancer.

Beverley said: "In many ways it has been a positive thing, it has given me a new lease of life.

"It's made me realise I just need to get on and do stuff that I enjoy.

"I had no interest in sitting in front of the piano for a long time.

"I completely lost that vibe, but now it's back and I'm going out and giving it my best."

'Close To Home, is Beverley's long-awaited and perhaps most personal album to date.

"It's a rebirth in many ways," she says. "Only this time there's no record deal and no pressure. I'm doing things on my terms now and you know what - I’m really enjoying myself!"

With a witty narrative and unforgettable melodies, her poignant sentiments are said to leave you with a warm glow of nostalgia, or maybe even the odd tear.
