HOMEOWNERS and staff at McCarthy and Stone’s Harbour Lights Court development on North Quay in Weymouth, are inviting local people to join them for a very vintage affair with tea, cakes, and the nostalgic sounds of the 1950s and 1960s.

The vintage-inspired tea party will take place at the retirement living development on Thursday, February 9 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm to raise money for older people’s charity, Royal Voluntary Service.

In return for a small donation, there will be a finger buffet offering tea and sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones, along with a glass of fizz for you to enjoy whilst listening to some classic hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Brenda Chapman, sales executive at Harbour Lights Court said: “We are really looking forward to hosting our vintage-inspired tea party in aid of Royal Voluntary Service.

"It is a fantastic cause and we are committed to helping the charity continue its work enriching the lives of older people and their families through their volunteers. Join us on 9th February for plenty of singing, toe-tapping, and celebrations as we raise a glass to the last 40 years at McCarthy and Stone, and look forward to the next. Anyone is welcome and it should be a fantastic event!”

The vintage tea party will also provide a fantastic opportunity for retirees to take a tour of the Harbour Lights Court and experience for themselves some of the unique lifestyle benefits on offer there.

The vintage tea party is expected to be busy and spaces will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. To book your place at the event please call 0800 310 0383 or for more information about Harbour Lights Court visit: http://www.mccarthyandstone.co.uk
