SPELLBINDING puppets, imaginary friends and marvellous magic are all in store as live family theatre arrives in Dorset this February half-term.

Shows will be taking place across the county, including Charlton Down, Cerne Abbas and Winfrith.

Children and families can look forward to some brilliant live theatre events taking place across Dorset.

Angel Heart Theatre presents Malina's Dream which reflects upon friendship and finding the way between two worlds.

Malina is an excitable young girl who lives with Grandpa in the land of the midnight sun. Into her frozen world comes a stranger, whose ship is crushed in the ice. When Malina discovers her dream has become real she knows only she can save the stranger’s life…with just a little help from Grandpa and his magic drum!

This puppet show is at Evershot Village Hall at 4pm on Monday February 13. Call 01935 83580 for tickets.

Morgan & West are bringing their Utterly Spiffing Spectacular Magic Show for Kids to Herrison Hall at Charlton Down at 4pm on Sunday February 19.

Witness a mountain of mysterious magic, a hatful of hyper-reality, and of course a truck full of tricks and tea.

A charming play about an imaginary friend comes to both Cerne Abbas Village Hall and Winfrith Village Hall on Saturday February 18.

Margo & Mr Whatsit tells the story of Sophia, who has an imaginary friend called Mr. Whatsit, and he’s always there with a new joke to tell and a new game to play – that is, until the day she unimagines him.

Now there’s a new imaginary friend in town – the tea-drinking, lipstick-wearing, ever-confident Margo. Can Mr. Whatsit’s childish playfulness keep him from being unimagined forever?

And as Sophia’s imagination goes to war, will she manage to find peace in her new home?

PaddleBoat Theatre Company present a lively and imaginative tale full of mime, puppetry, music, clowning and object play and invite you to enter Sophia’s world, where the real and the imaginary collide and friends are never far away.

Call 01300 341332 for tickets to the Cerne Abbas show, which is at 11am on February 18 or 01305 852117 for tickets to the Winfrith Village Hall, which is at 4pm on February 18.
