IT MUST be love – Camp Bestival love – as Madness are revealed as the Saturday night headliner at this year's event.

One of the most iconic British bands of the 80s, the 'Nutty Boys' will be performing their hits on the main Castle Stage at Lulworth's Camp Bestival.

Celebrating 10 years of Camp Bestival with a popstar and rockstar theme from July 27 to 30, the family friendly festival preparations are in full rock and roll swing with the likes of Mark Ronson, All Saints and Skream also lined up to perform alongside Madness in the stunning grounds of Lulworth Castle.

Festival co-founder Rob da Bank said: “Madness have always been up there in terms of rocking UK bands but weirdly the last few years has seen them get even better live.

"I’ve had the pleasure of listening to their music for the past four decades, DJing for their House of Common festi, warming up for them at this very same festival a few years back and being chased round the campsite by Suggs in the middle of the night.

"These guys are dangerous and we can’t wait to get them back for Camp Bestival."

Fronted by Suggs (Graham McPherson), the London-based band achieved huge success in the 80s with 15 top 10 singles.

With their critically-acclaimed top five album, Can’t Touch Us Now currently enjoying a ninth week on the official UK album chart, Madness will take to the Castle Stage and transform it into a house of fun to perform their classics.

From Baggy Trousers, Wings of a Dove, It Must be Love to Our House, the six-man band are set to bring madness and mayhem to the stage.

Also confirmed for the festival are the cast of School of Rock the Musical, Holly Johnson, Leftfield, Mr Tumble, and Dick and Dom.

Fancy dress, theatre, fairground rides, poets and comics will fill the rest of the Dorset festival near the Jurassic Coast.

Early bird tickets are now on sale for the festival, costing £197.50 for an adult weekend ticket and from £15 for children's tickets. For more information, contact Camp Bestival or visit campbestival.net
