AN IMAGINATIVE story about a boy with sky high courage is set to captivate an audience in a village near Dorchester.

The Boy Who Climbed In To The Moon comes to Martinstown Village Hall on Saturday October 15 at 3pm.

This magical tale of big ideas is based on the surreal and quirky book by Skellig author David Almond, The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon.

This a wonderfully warm, imaginative and moving story about a shy and under-confident boy called Paul.

With the help of his friends and neighbours, Paul finds the courage to climb into the moon.

Whilst on his travels, he finds new friends and learns how important it is to ask questions, to test theories, to speak your mind and, above all, to be yourself.

Some pretty odd ideas are floating around Paul’s street. There’s Mabel, whose brother hides under a brown paper bag. And Clarence the poodle who thinks he can fly. But Paul has the oddest idea of all. He thinks that the moon is a big hole in the sky and he’s going to climb into it...

Artsreach Co-Director Yvonne Gallimore said “Theatre Alibi has an excellent reputation for creating imaginative and high quality work for families and their visits to Dorset are always hugely popular.

"This brilliant story is brought to life with their usual characteristic flare for spellbinding and captivating storytelling.”

Puppets, musicians and creative sets will capture the imaginations; anything’s possible in this warm and very funny story.

With just one performance in Dorset this October, early booking is advised.
