THE comedy theatre company Le Navet Bete is returning to Dorset with its take on the classic tale, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Corfe Castle Village Hall will host the show, which is being toured across the region courtesy of the rural arts organisation Artsreach.

The show will also launch Artsreach's new autumn season, which is being supported by solicitors Blanchards Bailey.

Artsreach co-director Kerry Bartlett said: "It is great to have the backing of a long-established local firm such as Blanchards Bailey, and this large scale professional production creates a really exciting start to our season.

"Audiences should definitely expect a unique version of this classic story."

Prepare yourselves for a physical comedy bonanza of ridiculous characters, live music and song, hilarious dances, utter stupidity and much much more.

Will they make it to the Emerald City or will the Mighty Oz and his powerful Green Army stop them in their tracks?

Will Shirley the Wicked Witch of the West be slightly more wicked than you could ever imagine? Will a squadron of Winged Monkeys end up in your lap? This really is a long, long way from Kansas. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz will be performed at Corfe Castle Village Hall at 7.30pm on Friday, September 30.
