TO many football fans, Eric Cantona was known simply as ‘The King’. Now fans will have the chance to get close up and personal with the controversial sports star when he comes to Bournemouth for one night only.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow for An Evening With Eric Cantona, which takes place at the Bournemouth International Centre on February 21 next year.

Star quality and controversy followed him throughout his career and he will be here to talk about those heady days when he led Manchester United to four Premier League titles in five seasons.

The famous number 7 with the upright collar stayed at the club for four and half seasons and for a fee of just £1.2m, counts as one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s greatest ever signings.

The evening will be compered by Terry Baker from Christchurch-based A1 Sporting Speakers who said: “An evening with Eric Cantona is something we have been working on bringing to the UK for years and have now made it a reality. It’s coming to Bournemouth as one of the few theatres that is big enough to accommodate it in the south and frankly because we are local and are excited to produce a show with Eric in our hometown.”

Tickets start from £35 or £200 to include seats in the front few rows and the opportunity to have your photograph taken whilst you shake hands with Eric. To book, call 0844 576 3000 or visit bhlivetickets.co.uk.

Terry also has a limited number of champagne reception tickets to include a large signed photo, front or second row seats and a photograph taken with Eric for £1000 available from Terry on 07973 387294 or email terry@a1sportingspeakers.com.
