THE focus seems to be on Dorchester this weekend with a bumper line-up of entertainment at Maumbury Rings.

Elsewhere there's sausages, cider, ABBA and charity football matches.

*YOUTH music and culture will be on display at Maumbury Rings, Dorchester, with the Anonymous Festival tomorrow from 11am to 6pm.

This free day-long festival features live music all day from talented young performers. These include Pop Club, Kennedy and Declan Miller.

There will also be an Open Mic Cafe for chilling out and listening to acoustic acts.

People even have the chance to try a carpet run - a fun slide - down the hill at Maumbury Rings.

Don't miss the Iguanodon Restaurant - a highly visual, funny, peculiar, fast moving, historical romp of a 20 minute show.

In addition there are tons of activities including grafitti workshop, arts and craft, slacklining, free running, bouncy castle, photo-booth, body zorbing, street performance, bungee run and more.

*SUNDAY marks the popular LGBT Love Parade in Dorchester.

It starts from the Town Pump at 12.30pm where you can join those feeling the love in colourful costumes as they put the flam into boyant and make their way to Maumbury Rings.

There will be live music at Maumbury Rings until 8pm and music, comedy, food and other entertainment.

*MAUMBURY Rings will host a third day of entertainment on Bank Holiday Monday from 1.30pm to 10pm with the traditional town council event which features live music from The Sessions, Rodney Bronigan, Stone Roots, Stompin Dave, Grand Reunion and Until There Was(Ukelele band). Feel free to bring a picnic and there will also be a bar.

*EXPERIENCE a sultry Spanish evening on Sunday with tapas and Latin and Cuban music at The Engine Room Restaurant at Poundbury Garden Centre from 7pm.

*A CHARITY day will be held at Weymouth College on Sunday to raise money for the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

The Southweld Charity Day will be centred around two big charity cup matches kicking off at 10am and 1.30pm. Also on offer will be a bouncy castle, judo displays, an appearance from the Oddessey Majorettes and character appearances.

Entry is £2 and includes a programme, children go free.

*THE annual Dog, Sausage and Cider Festival returns to the Springhead pub in Sutton Poyntz on Sunday.

There will be live music all day, a dog show, barbecue, ciders, a sausage throwing competition and kids' entertainment and games.

The festival opens at 11.30am and the dog show begins at 1.30pm.

*JOIN a fant-ABBA-ulous party at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, on Sunday at 7.30pm.

The 40th anniversary of ABBA’s greatest hit Dancing Queen will be celebrated in sequin-spangled style with tribute act Thank You For The Music. Contact the box office for tickets.

*TAKE a trailer ride with a difference this weekend tomorrow and Sunday to the Jurassic Coast with breathtaking views of Durdle Door to the east and Portland to the west as it heads back along farm tracks via West Chaldon to a fine cream tea in a lovely garden.

If it turns out to be wet over the weekend, the rides and teas will be run again on Monday.

There will be face painting for the children and book and plant stalls for the adults. Trailer rides cost £6 for adults, £4 for U18s and U8s £2.

*DISCOVER the secret life of bats with Baffling Bats at Lorton Meadows Conservation Centre in Weymouth tomorrow from 1pm to 3pm.

Discover the secret life of these flying mammals and celebrate International Bat Weekend. There will also be crafts and games.
