HEAR the enduring classics When Will I See You Again, Take Good Care of Yourself and more when The Three Degrees arrive in Dorset next month.

Featured in the Guinness World Records as the longest-running female vocal group in history, they are said to be the most successful female soul/disco outfit of the 1970s, scoring hit after hit for Philadelphia International Records.

Original members Helen Scott and Valerie Holiday along with new arrival Freddie Pool (who joined in 2011) will perform at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton, on Friday September 16.

The Three Degrees are celebrating 50 years in showbusiness and have been wowing clubland with their live performances and recently released Strategy (Our Tribute to Philadelphia), their first new studio album in twenty-five years.

Valerie said: “For us, it is still exciting and we still enjoy our work.

“We are blessed with a wide age group appeal….from fifteen to sixty-five.”

Helen added: “We have opened a lot of doors for other entertainers. In some cases, we may not have always succeeded but we have never given up. It still amazes me when we see teenagers singing along with our songs. And yet we still have the fans who have grown up with us.”
