IT’S a question that would stump even the most fanatical pub quiz king –which band had the most UK hits in the 70s?
The answer, pop-pickers, is not Abba or Blondie, but a group of guys wearing multi-coloured suits and blue suede shoes.
Showaddywaddy may have looked like it came from the 1950s but the band was hardly out of the charts in the 70s, and now it’s coming to Weymouth Pavilion on July 23.
Showaddywaddy has long been playing its own brand of retro-inspired rock ‘n’ roll.
The band has been on tour since 1973, playing its biggest hits including the million making number one single, Under The Moon Of Love.
