MEMBERS of a youth theatre group from Weymouth were honoured to meet musical star Joe McElderry following a performance of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Weymouth Pavilion.
Around 50 members of WOW Youth Musical Theatre enjoyed getting some tips from former X Factor winner Joe.
The bonus for the young aspiring stage stars was watching former WOW member Lewis Asquith, which was part of the cast of the touring musical.
Janet Stockley, president of the group, said: "From start to finish the production was fast paced and so enjoyable.
"Joe McElderry has an amazing voice and gave a stunning performance of Close Every Door, finishing on a very high note.
"Lewis, at 6 foot 4ins tall, was very prominent and looking good as one of the brothers.
"I asked Joe how he was enjoying being in Weymouth and he said it was great and he had even had a swim in between shows.
"Lewis is staying with his Mum, Wendy, and will be here for a few more days. He is going to come and see us again at a WOW rehearsal.
"It was a very proud moment for us all at WOW."
