ENJOY a romantic evening at Charlton Down with the Briantspuddle Singers.

They will be performing at Herriston Hall, Charlton Down, in a Music for a Summer Evening concert on June 25 at 7.30pm.

Directed by Rob Dishington the singers will be performing a selection of music, including Stanford's The Bluebird and Elgar's As Torrents in Summer will create softer imagery of nature and landscape, while the sounds of summer and love in the city will be evoked by songs from West Side Story.

To add mystery to the romantic mix, there will also be songs from The Phantom of The Opera.

The singers will be joined for this celebration of summer by pupils from Durlston Court School and talented young mezzo soprano soloist Tilly Bartholomew who already has a number of stage productions to her name.

The pianist will be talented Blandford-based, local musician Sam Ryall. Sam has had a varied and busy professional musical career, having worked as a rehearsal and auditions accompanist for Walt Disney in the West End on movie pre-shows like The Lion King, Aladdin; he has also accompanied Sir Willard White.
