STUDENTS dedicated to the arts in Weymouth are polishing off their performance ready for their latest comedy production.

Dionysus Productions, run by foundation degree actors at Weymouth College are returning to the stage of the Bay Theatre at the college on May 5 in The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church.

The students last show 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche proved a smash hit with the audience and the students are delighted to be back in this light-hearted and heart-warming play.

Set in the 1970s in small town America, the roads are flooded, the bridges are washed out and less generous souls are staying safely indoors.

But it takes more than a little rain to keep the ladies of the Charitable Sisterhood from fulfilling their sworn mission.

Meeting in a church basement to organise a relief effort, they are greeted with community donations, but one woman’s junk is another woman’s treasure and the pile of stuff is hiding more than a few secrets.

Pictured are Foundation Degree Actor students Zoey Peppin, playing the role of Lorraine Jensen, Stephanie Rushton as Tina Yates, Alexandra Hodges-Oakes as Bea Littleton, Abigail Cartwright as Janet Murchinson and Raya Bacchus as Riley Reynolds.
