A BLUES band will stop off in Bridport tomorrow (12) as part of a 25th anniversary tour.

The reformed version of The Producers will take to the stage at the Electric Palace - playing old and new material.

The reformed line-up includes original frontman Harry Skinner and bass player Dave Saunders. For the anniversary tour, they will be joined by Ray Drury on organ and piano, as well as Biff Smith on drums and percussion.

Still receiving rave reviews, The Producers are regaining the loyal following which made them so popular in their previous forms. New material is continually being written and incorporated into their set, which contains many of the previously recorded tracks.

Harry and Dave formed The Producers in 1990, before going on to be named Blues Band of the Year four times.

The band has performed at a host of festivals including Stanley Blues and North Wales Blues Festival. HTe band have also perofmed at festivals in Belgium, Ireland, Holland and France - as well as a month long tour of New Zealand.

At the Cognac Blues Festival in France they were joined onstage by headliner Ray Charles’ brass section.

New songs have been written and loyal fans will recognise some reworked stage favourites as they move forward, but not forgetting the past musical history of the band.

The doors will open at 7pm for an 8pm start. For more information, please call Bridport Tourist Information Centre on 01308 424901.
