BLUES band The Producers will perform in Dorset as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations.

They call in at the Electric Palace, Bridport, on Friday February 12 and Mr Kyps, Poole, on Friday February 19.

Bridport's own Stomping Dave has toured with the band.

The Producers have released nine albums with Ain't no Love in the World winning the Blues Album of the Year award.

These were firstly released on vassette before CDs were invented, with the last London Blues being on both CD and double vinyl LP and a brand new CD being released for sale on this tour!

They have featured in session live on the Paul Jones show on BBC Radio 2 as well as the Johnny Walker and Bob Harris shows, received airplay around the world especially California where they seem to have a big radio following and Macedonia where they once shut down the phone lines to a radio station after it played a Producers track and was inundated with requests for another!

They've had many guests appearing with them both live and in the studio including Jethro Tulls Martin Barre, Dave Kelly, Ben Waters, The Groundhogs Tony McPhee, Andy Fairweather Low and the brass section of the Ray Charles Orchestra including the Raelets!

They have travelled to Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the Bahamas and all over the UK and most of Europe, played at or headlined most of the major blues festivals in the UK, Ireland and Europe plus the Tauranga Jazz and Blues Festival in New Zealand, Freeport Blues Festival in the Bahamas and the Atlanta Blues Festival USA.

As well as Harry and Dave the present band also feature popular sessioneer Ray Drury on Keyboards and 'Biff' Smith on Drums.
