KINGSTON LACY, WIMBORNE
When it's a traditional Christmas with a touch of class it doesn't matter too much if it starts a little early.
This weekend you can stir it up in this beautiful 17th century house by enjoying Stir-Up Sunday, an event for people to have a go a making a traditional Christmas pudding.
Discover the ingredients that are used, the traditions behind the pudding and take a turn to stir the pudding mix and make a wish, before taking home your very own mini Christmas Pudding.
It takes place from 11am to 5pm, costs £2 a person, and booking is not required.
From November 27 until December 23 Kingston Lacy will be decorated in traditional Christmas decorations.
See Christmas through the eyes of the children with traditional decorations, a cheeky nip of sherry and food samples.
See the laundry in its festive attire and add a link to the Christmas wish paper-chain.
Head out into the garden after dusk to discover the illuminated trail and look out for Santa Claus' sleigh.
