A SPRINKLING of seasonal magic is coming to the county.

The festive season in Dorset would not be the same without a visit to see the Forest Forge winter show, and this year it promises to be better than ever as they join forces with local theatre company Bumblefly to produce a new take on the family favourite, Hansel and Gretel.

It will be performed at Royal Manor Theatre on Portland on December 10, Corfe Castle Village Hall on December 17, Cecil Memorial Hall in Cranborne on December 4. These performances are at 7pm.

It will also be at Bourton Village Hall on January 7 at 6.30pm.

Lost in the deep dark enchanted forest, Hansel & Gretel embark on an adventure which sees them encounter lots of well known fairytale figures who try to help, or hinder them, as they draw ever closer to a strange and mysterious house that looks good enough to eat!

Dom Phillips from Bumblefly Theatre says:

"I am really excited to produce this years winter show. From my years of touring village halls I have learnt that people enjoy a good story, a laugh and, of course, a raffle! Bumblefly is a small family led touring company who have all worked for Forest Forge, and are very pleased to be working with them on this show."

This classic family tale is given a fine sprinkling of Forest Forge magic and a large dollop of Bumblefly fun, creating a production full of vibrant, traditional story telling and packed with laughs and songs.

This promises to be another special and unmissable seasonal show which is brought to Dorset by Artsreach. See artsreach.co.uk
