JOHNNY Coppin, one of the founder members of the folk band Decameron, will bring his legendary sound to the Sunray Folk Club at Broadmayne Village Hall, Broadmayne, on October 22.
The singer songwriter and composer began his career as one of the founder members of the folk band Decameron.
In just five years they wrote and recorded four albums and built up a strong following by touring both the UK and Europe.
As a solo artist, Johnny has gone on to record more than 12 albums including his very latest Borderland, plus Forest and Vale and High Blue Hill, Force of the River, Edge of Day (a collaboration with Laurie Lee), Breaking The Silence (with Mike Silver) and The Winding Stair.
For many years Johnny has toured solo and also as a duo with singer/songwriter Mike Silver.
Playing guitar and piano, his music is essentially English and always melodic and evocative.
Johnny will be supported by Louise Jordan.
Tickets cost £8. See sunrayfolkclub.co.uk for ticket information.
