A DEVON musical duo will celebrate the release of their new album with an evening of live music at River Cottage.

Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin will play songs from Watershed, their third release, at the iconic venue on Wednesday (7).

They will be playing new material for Watershed, a collection of 12 original songs and tunes - recorded love with the Watershed band in Devon's Blackdown Hills.

Hannah said: "Each of the songs was written wit ha specific person in mind.

"I hope they know who they are, and that this is for them, with our love, grief and job - except the track Watershed, which was written for everyone."

This intimate concert will be accompanied by a seasonal three-course meal from the River Cottage kitchen.

Watershed, released September 25, moves the Henry & Martin story up another gear. The 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards “Best Duo” winners have woven a stand-out album marking the theme of “a moment of change” and it emerges as their most emotionally charged, personal and pertinent work to date.

The duo have kept themselves extremely busy over the last 18 months. They recorded a concert, Live in Calstock, to make a record of their sound during their early years. This gave them the opportunity to tour with folk legend Seth Lakeman. They performed at the Folk Alliance in Kansas City, and booking have already been made for concerts in Canada and Australia next year.

Philip and Hannah will play two sets as part of a special night of fine music and fine food. The evening begins at 6.30pm and guests will transported from the car park by tractor and trailer to River Cottage HQ for welcome drinks and canapes. After starters and main course using local and seasonal ingredients, the musicians will perform two sets with dessert served during the interval. The evening is scheduled to finish around 11pm.
