A BEER tasting event has been organised to put some fizz in Dorchester Arts' coffers.
The arts group's fundraising event, which will see beer matched with suitable foods to complement its flavour, takes place on Friday September 11 at Brownsword Hall, Poundbury, from 7pm.
Join Mark Woodhouse of Hall & Woodhouse who will lead people through a selection of beers, each one with a perfectly matched sample of food – even dessert.
Nikki Rowe, one of the emerging female beer sommeliers in the UK, will be guest speaker at the event.
Indian restaurant the Rajpoot, Waitrose, COOK of Dorchester, Olives et al, Brace of Butchers and The Watercress Company will team their tasty delights with a wide selection of beers from the popular local brewery led by Mark Woodhouse.
He said: “Trainee Beer Sommelier Nikki Rowe and I look forward to sharing our passion for ales with the guests to this event.
"We have been given a great menu to match our Badger ales with, and I am sure we will have a fun and memorable evening.”
