A PAINTING showing a spectacular Dorset view is going in display as part of an exhibition.
West Country artist David Inshaw's work is being exhibited at The Fine Art Society, 148 New Bond Street, London from September 16 to October 1.
The figurative painter will be exhibiting his new work Pink House, East Cliff, West Bay (2014) which depicts Stanley Kubrick’s home in Dorset.
Inshaw was born in Staffordshire and educated in London, and moved to Devizes in 1971.
His most famous work, The Badminton Game (1972-3), can be found in the Tate Britain and is one of a number influenced by the landscape of The West Country, and in particular by houses and gardens in Devizes.
The exhibition will feature more than 16 new works by the artist, alongside several paintings from the 1980s and 1990s and will coincide with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Brotherhood of Ruralists, a group of British artists which Inshaw co-founded in 1975 with his friend Sir Peter Blake.
