A GRAMMY nominated dance act will be coming to Weymouth this week.

K-Klass, will be performing at the Boombox nightclub on Friday, July 31.

The act have had five UK top 40 hits and have remixed some of the biggest artists in music including Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston.

Their first and biggest hit came in 1991, when their track Rhythm is a Mystery reached number three in the UK Singles Chart.

The duo also picked up a Grammy nomination for their remix of Samantha Mumba’s Baby Come on Over in 2002.

K-Klass celebrated 25 years on the dance music scene with an anniversary tour and album, with the album reaching the top ten of the Itunes dance chart.

They will be joined by house act Soul Avengerz who have been performing on the London house scene for more than 22 years.

Soul Avengerz have also remixed some of the biggest acts in music including Blondie and Queen.

The acts are heading to the club to launch Boombox’s new Elements of House night.

Support will be provided by local producers and resident DJs Sweet L.A on the night who will be the resident DJs at any subsequent Elements of House nights.

Boombox owners, Brett Dunster and Chris Gibben said: “Boombox is dedicated to providing Weymouth with the best artists and entertainment the industry has to offer, we are extremel proud to have two legends of the house music scene come to our club.

“Sweet LA, our new residents are guys who know the industry well and proved time and time again they can put on top events.”

The night will run from 11pm until 5am.
