TWO Lyme Regis painters will showcase their work in a joint exhibition in the town this month.

Zee Jones and Pam Allsop will return to the Courtyard Gallery at the Town Mill with their exhibition, Colour and Movement.

The two artists are very different, but compliment each other's work - presenting a body of creations that is full of energy, colour and movement.

Following a life-long career as a social care professional, Zee turned her attention to painting.

"Working in a variety of media, although mainly acrylic, I am drawn to strong colour combinations and bold images" explained Zee.

"I hope that my paintings touch a place inside people which makes them feel good about life."

Pam left a career in the oil industry where she worked overseas, and trained as a personal psychotherapist, which enabled her to use art and creativity in her work. She moved to Lyme Regis in 2005 and her love of psychology and art came together in her illustrations for her book, Symptoms and Symbol - A Transpersonal Language.

Pam continues to explore self-expression and intuitive painting through mixed media, acrylic and colour.

The exhibition will open on Friday, July 3 and run until Wednesday, July 15.

The gallery is open daily from 10.30am until 4.30pm, with a private viewing taking place on Saturday, July 4 from 3pm to 6pm. On Saturday, July 11, the artists will be greeting visitors until 8pm as part of Saturday Nights at The Mill.
