SOME of the area's best visual talent was on show at Dorchester Arts' sixth Open Exhibition.
Since its inception the Open Exhibition has always attracted considerable interest from a range of artists across the region. This year was no exception with numerous works entered by 92 artists and the judges narrowed this down to a final selection of just over 40 works all of exceptionally high standard.
Mark Tattersall, Dorchester arts’ artistic director, said: “Open exhibitions like this offer a wonderful opportunity for the region’s artists to show their work and for visitors to appreciate the wealth of artistic talent we have in the area.
"We were thrilled to see such a high response of entries – more than any other year.”
A People’s Choice award from the exhibition will be announced soon.
