CORNISH comedian Matt Price will headline the latest Bridport Comedy Cafe night tomorrow (10).

The funnyman, famed for his lilting westcountry accent and storytelling craftsmanship, is a comedy circuit favourite - known for his engaging and unique approach to comedy.

It is no surprise Matt has a few stories to tell - being a former boxer, skateboarder and co-founder of the Cardiff Comedy Festival and Natural Born Storytellers. He has led a varied and fascinating life, which has led to him finding himself in a number of incredible scenarios - most recently fleeing Turkish mafia after a gig with Tinky Winky of Teletubbies fame, went drastically wrong.

His Edinburgh Festival shows have seen Matt weaving his own amazing true tales into astonishing and very funny hours.

The Maryhill Dinosaur, his 2014 show, was ostensibly about a mentally ill man who believed he was a dinosaur – but built into a moving and heartfelt story about what it takes to be a man – and why sometimes a lack of confidence can be an advantage in life.

Opening the show at Bridport Arts Centre will be the multi award-winning Harriet Kemsley - one of the most exciting new female comics on the circuit currently making a name for herself with her quirky oddball brand of humour. Next month, Harriet will be supporting Stewart Francis and Katherine Ryan on their UK tours. In the past, she has featured on BBC3's comedy marathon, London Live's Funny Rotten Scoundrels and the BBC Radio One Comedy Lounge.

The event's regular compere Tom Glover will once again be hosting he show as always - and the line-up will be completed by new acts Craig Leggo and Glenn Burford.

The comedy cafe will take place from 8pm. For more information, contact Bridport Arts Centre on 01308 424204.
