WOW! These girls can sing.

Celeste are all girl group Cat, Nell, Milly, Nikki and Polly and have just released their debut album of old time classics and I have to agree with their press release, these girls do have heavenly voices.

Four of the girls studied and sang together at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset and Milly was a chorister at Salisbury, Dorset.

Although all the songs are covers, the girls make it their own with their soaring vocal harmonies. Warning – this music is seriously relaxing. There isn’t a lot of musical accompaniment but then when you can sing like they can, you don’t really need it.

The whole album is a joy to listen to and it’s great to see a girl group breaking into the territory of groups like Il Divo.

Pie Jesu, their a cappella rendition of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s choral work, is one of the stand out tracks, as is Ave Maria.

Bonus Track L.O.V.E was recorded live but you can’t tell the difference – that’s a testament to how well they sing together.

So far they have sung in front of the Queen, Dame Vera Lynn and Jools Holland and they will be special guests at Katherine Jenkins shows this summer.

In short - buy this album, your parents and grandparents will thank you.
