POLITICAL satire fans will be flocking to Bridport when a critically acclaimed funnyman will take to the stage.

Nick Revell will headline the Comedy Café at Bridport Arts Centre tomorrow night (6).

The former Perrier Award nominee will be a recognisable voice to BBC Radio 4 listeners - having been a regular guest on shows including Just a Minute and The News Quiz. He is also the star of his own radio sitcom, The Nick Revell Show.

Nick has also written for and appeared on numerous television shows since the 80s - rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in comedy. His credits include Not the Nine O'clock News, Drop the Dead Donkey and The Jasper Carrot Show.

During his long and illustrious career, Nick has received rave reviews and is renowned for his sharp satire and incisive jokes.

Joining Nick will be Australian comic Matt Dwyer, a straight talking stand-up who covers everything from life as a foreigner in modern Britain to his failings with relationships.

Matt is a former winner of the prestigious You Must Be Joking competition and was a finalist in the Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year contest, alongside the club's resident compere Tom Glover.

Tom will be back to host the show and will also be introducing newer acts to the Bridport crowd - completing another packed night of stand-up comedy.

The Bridport Arts Centre Comedy Café will start at 8pm. For more information, contact the box office on 01308 424204.
