AN ACCLAIMED new collaboration will stop off in Bridport as part of a UK tour later this month.

Little Cauliflower and Smoking Apples will present CELL, following a sold-out performance at the Little Angel Theatre and a Peter Brook Award nomination.

After being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Ted goes on a trip of a lifetime - along with his pet fish. As the disease starts to cause his mobility to degenerate, Ted rushes towards experiencing a world that is outside of his comfort zone - from the streets of Lille to the romance of Venice.

Humorous, heart-warming and uplifting, CELL features charming puppetry, physical theatre and an original music score to tell the story of one man's final adventure to create enough memories to last a lifetime.

From ice bucket challenges to the Oscar-winning biopic about Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything - more light has recently been shed on the dehabilitating condition. In CELL, the visually inventive and beautiful show engages audiences with a complex medical condition in a positive way.

Motor Neurone Disease is a subject close to the cast, with two members having lost their grandfathers to the disease.

The puppetry enables the audience to look at the idea or re-animation. As Ted's movement degenerates, the puppeteers' movement escalated. With striking show puppetry visuals designed by Samuel Wyer, Emily Appleton Holley's stunning score and Sherry Coenen's lighting design, CELL is a sensory experience - bringing a new meaning to 'living life to the full'.

CELL will be performed at the Lyric Theatre on Friday March 20.
