THERE is a real treat in store for concert goers on Sunday.

The first Weymouth Sunday Concert of 2015 features Benjamin Birtle on the cello and Duncan Honeybourne on the piano.

It takes place at Weymouth Bay Methodist Church in Melcombe Ave-nue, beginning at 3pm.

There has been a change in the planned double bass and cello programme because double bass player David Daly is unable to play solo concerts at the moment due to a hand injury, so Duncan has kindly stepped into the breach.

Benjamin Birtle is a versatile professional British cellist who has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician, including several concerts with Duncan.

Duncan Honeybourne is very well known to Weymouth audiences and regularly performs at the lunchtime chamber concerts in St Mary’s Church, Weymouth.

The concert is at 3pm at Weymouth Bay Church in Melcombe Avenue, tickets £12 at the door, or £10 in advance by telephoning 01305 834469.
