HANDEL’S Messiah and its mighty anthems will ring out in St Mary’s Church Dorchester on Saturday night.
Soloist Wendy Nieper will feature in the concert, which is being brought to the church by the Dorchester Choral Society.
The messiah is known for its anthems such as The Hallelujah Chorus, The Trumpet shall Sound and Glory to God.
It is also known for its gentle arias like He shall feed his Flock and I know that my Redeemer liveth.
Director Christine Page said: “The choir and the chamber orchestra will ensure that passion and tenderness are portrayed equally.”
The concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Harmony Music, Trinity Street, Dorchester, and from choir members.
