WEYMOUTH Choral Society’s annual Christmas concert is taking place on Saturday, December 13 in a new venue – St Aldhelm’s Church, Spa Road, WeymouthWeymouth.
The society societywill be joined by Wyke Regis Junior School Choir, with their director, Mrs Helen Rewse.
The young singers will perform with the choral societychoral societyin several favourites and also have a own selection of songs.
Both the contemplative and celebratory moods of Christmas will be explored through works such as Candlelight Carol by John Rutter, contrasting with Percy Fletcher’s dramatic ‘Ring out Wild Bells’ and Mack Wilberg’s exuberant arrangement of Joy to the World.
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 (and free to under 16s) and will be available soon from choir members, Dorchester TIC (01305 267992), Harmony Music (01305 260360), Wyke Regis Library and on the door.
