A COMIC opera masterpiece brought to life by the Met Opera is being shown at the Bridport Arts Centre on Tuesday, December 9.

The Barber of Seville by Rossini returns with Isabel Leonard as the feisty Rosina. Lawrence Brownlee is her conspiring flame, and Christopher Maltman is the endlessly resourceful and charming barber himself.

Michele Mariotti conducts the vivid and tuneful score.

A two-course opera supper will be available in the interval priced £14. It will be made using quality local ingredients by the Art Garden Cafe.

All food must be booked in advance as places are limited.

This performance is part of a series of transmissions from New York’s world-famous Metropolitan Opera House.
