FAMILIES can follow Alice down the rabbit hole with a screening of Christopher Wheeldon’s ballet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by The Royal Ballet at the Odeon Dorchester at Brewery Square.

The perfect antidote to mediocre Christmas TV, the performance will be screened live from the Royal Opera House at 7.15pm on Tuesday, December 16.

There will also be a screening on Sunday, December 28 at 2pm.

Based on Lewis Carroll’s book, this exuberant piece of storytelling features an instantly recognisable cast of characters, among them a tap-dancing Mad Hatter, a tetchy White Rabbit and a raucously bad-tempered Queen of Hearts.

Alan Escott, general manager at ODEON Dorchester, said: “Famous for its weird and wonderful characters, you can’t get more magical than this Lewis Carroll story. We’re hoping this literary classic will attract customers who are after something a little different this Christmas.”

Tickets to the ballet screening are £10 for children and £12.50 for seniors.
