A FANG-TASTIC family show is coming to Weymouth Pavilion for Halloween.

Get ready for rib-tickling laughter and bags of panto-style audience participation with Shazam! on Sunday, October 26.

Join intrepid explorers on the Halloween adventure of a lifetime.

Kirsty, Jake and Melissa are determined to win first prize in their school project competition and have managed to find their way to Blackdown Castle to discover more about the history behind the ruins.

But all is not as it seems as their quest is interrupted by friendly ghosties, ghoulies and things that go bump in the night.

They’ll need the audience’s help to unlock the secrets of the castle and discover the mystery that surrounds it.

Following her ensemble appearance in both Cinderella and Pirates of the Pavilion, local girl Denni Record will play the role of Kirsty, making her professional debut.

Producer Josh Bennett said: “It’s so great to have Denni on board for our national tour of Shazam! She really shone over the summer in Pirates of the Pavilion, not least as a puppeteer in the ultra violet sequences, and it was this skill as a performer which led us to offer her the role over the October half term.

“It’s wonderful for us to be in a position to encourage local talent – Denni will be with us for the other dates around the country in addition to Weymouth, so this really is a fantastic opportunity.”

Shazam! will also feature another local performer, Charlotte Allen, who Weymouth residents will recognise as Buccaneer Becky from Pirates of the Pavilion.

Charlotte and Denni join Lee Redwood, the writer and director of the summertime pantomime, on an adventure into a mind-blowing world of magic and illusion where the impossible becomes reality and a concoction of colourful characters come to life before your very eyes.

Jam-packed with your favourite Halloween hits and amazing ultra violet puppetry, Shazam! is guaranteed to bring a smile to children of all ages from three to 103.

Performances will be taking place at 1pm and 4pm on Sunday, October 26.
