Award-winning physical comedy theatre company Le Navet Bete are touring to Dorset through Artsreach this October, and are set to wow audiences with their biggest show to date, Once Upon A Time In A Western.

A south-west success story who originally met at Plymouth University, Le Navet Bete have gone on to tour all over the UK and internationally with both indoor and outdoor performances. In their latest production, the sleepy town of Kidneystone is threatened by outlaw and all-round bad guy Loco Pedro, who is secretly in cahoots with the mayor to rob the town’s train of all its gold. Integrating live music, physical comedy, audience participation, pistols at dawn and sugar glass bottles, it promises to be an interactive, fast-paced ride across the Wild West.

Once Upon A Time In A Western is directed by John Nicholson (Peepolykus) and has already toured extensively around the UK, including the Exeter Phoenix, Bristol's Circomedia and Jackson's Lane in London. The company are now coming to the end of a national tour before a busy season of outdoor work begins, right across the country and in to Europe.

Matt Freeman, co-artistic director of the company, said “It's great to be performing in Dorset with Artsreach. We are really excited about bringing this show to the county for the first time and are hoping to be performing to lots of new audiences”.

The three performances in Dorset will take place at Gillingham School on 9th October, Corfe Castle Village Hall on 10th October, and Martinstown Village Hall on 11th October. All shows will start at 7:30pm. For more information contact Kerry Bartlett on 01305 269512; email kerry@artsreach.co.uk
