A DORSET brewery raised £7,000 for charity with a festival and has now announced its 2016 dates.

Hall & Woodhouse have announced they will be hosting the fourth beer festival at their brand new brewery in Blandford on June 18.

This comes after their hugely successful beer festival in September 2015, which raised over £7,000 for four different charities.

From proceeds taken at the festival in 2015, the organising committee were able to present cheques of £1,843 to each of their four chosen charities: Teddy20 - Based in Blandford, it supports children with cancer, Blandford Opportunity Group - which helps children in the area, the Blandford Opportunity Group - a pre-school for children with special needs, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Alzheimer’s Society - helping those with dementia.

The festival celebrated the best of Dorset with music, family games and of course, the brewery’s beer.

At this year’s festival visitors can expect a delightful day of beers, foodie treats, face painting, steam engines, a competition to win your height in beer, silent auction and much more. All proceeds raised from this year’s beer festival will be donated to Together for Short Lives.

The beer line up includes Badger favourites such as Fursty Ferret and Tanglefoot, as well as brews from fellow local brewers like Piddle, Palmers, Sixpenny Handley, Otter Brewery, Dorset Brewing Co and Hop Back Brewery.

There will be live music from Selective Hearing, Loose Connections as well as skiffle band Quinns Quinney.

Tickets can be purchased from hallwoodhousebeerfest.com.
