CELEBRATE entrepreneurial spirit at a prestigious food awards.

The organisers of this year’s South West Food and Drink Awards are looking for entrants to the 2016 Carol Trewin South West Producer of the Year.

The award is for either an individual entrepreneurial and efficient producer of food and drink in the South West of England or a food and drink business as a whole.

Entrants must illustrate a positive approach to business development, the development of markets and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

The Taste of the West Awards celebrate the best food and drink from across Dorset, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire and are a benchmark for excellence across the region. Taste of the West Gold, Silver and Highly Commended award winners’ logos are already widely recognised as a sign of quality across the region, helping to boost business for the winners.

John Sheaves, Chief Executive of Taste of the West, said: “This is ‘the’ award which highlights excellence in the whole business. It represents a business which has achieved market penetration in a highly competitive market.

“In judging this award, we are looking for a high level of competence across a wide range of disciplines in the supply chain from production, processing and distribution to branding and marketing. If you are this business then we want to hear from you.”

The closing date for all entries is Monday, August 15. Entry forms are available to download from the website tasteofthewest.co.uk and the winner will be announced at the 2016 Awards Ceremony on September 26.
